About Us

Forces Online CIO is a dedicated charity with 5 years of experience supporting veterans, their families, and dependents within the armed forces community. Our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served their country and the people who support them. We operate through our Veterans VirtualHub, providing accessible support and resources to our beneficiaries.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and committed volunteer Senior Fundraiser to join our team at a pivotal moment in our development. This is a unique chance to help shape the future of a growing veterans' charity and create lasting impact for our beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Founder to develop and implement a comprehensive Walk of Life fundraising strategy

  • Help secure long-term, sustainable Walk of Life funding streams for the charity

  • Enhance the charity's profile and standing within the armed forces community

  • Support the growth and development of our "Walk of Life" nationwide initiative

  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities, corporate partnerships, and other funding sources

  • Contribute to fundraising events and campaigns

The "Walk of Life" Project

As our Senior Fundraiser, you will play a key role in expanding our flagship fundraising initiative:

  • A nationwide platform encouraging people to walk in support of our charity

  • Established nearly a year ago with its own dedicated web presence

  • Uniquely backed by the iconic Dire Straits track "Walk of Life"

  • Designed to increase both awareness and funding for our vital work

Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from:

  • Experienced fundraisers with a background in the charity sector

  • Professionals looking to transition into charitable fundraising

  • Individuals with a passion for supporting the armed forces community

  • Self-motivated people with strong communication and networking skills

Time Commitment

Flexible hours to accommodate your schedule, with regular communication with our team.

Location

This role can be performed remotely, with regular virtual meetings. Interested candidates can drop in for an informal chat at our Veterans VirtualHub between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
